INVESTMENT

“Investing in yourself is the best investment you will ever make. It will not only improve your life, it will improve the lives of all those around you.”

- Robin S. Sharma

Society places a great deal of focus on money but never enough on time. Yes, therapy is a significant financial commitment, but it is also a significant investment in yourself. Consider the long-term cost of not seeking help, which could far outweigh the expense. Think for a moment about how your life would be if you stayed where you are.

Making the time to invest in yourself now could make all the difference to your future. Investing in yourself through therapy not only addresses the root cause but has lasting benefits such as helping you to adapt to change, keeping your mind healthy and building self-confidence. Therapy is a place for you to experience a level of growth and healing that will change your life.

Often, clients benefit from sessions lasting between 8-12 weeks, however this time is determined by your individual needs. It is important for clients to complete therapy having achieved their goals.

Ways we can work toward this in this amount of time are by:

  • Establishing measurable goals and objectives once sessions commence.

  • Regularly assessing your needs to ensure that we are addressing your primary concerns.

  • Providing supplemental resources on an as needed basis, that pertain to your goals. These may be in the form of videos, articles or questionnaires.

Fees

  • 20 minute consultation: Free

  • 55 minute Psychotherapy session: $95

All fees are processed through the client portal.

Insurance

The Serenity Wellness Project does not participate with any insurance panels which allows for less restrictions in your care.

Most insurance companies dictate clinical decisions such as length of treatment, frequency and length of sessions, and the need for a mental health diagnosis.  This diagnosis often restricts what can be discussed in sessions to only related subject matter. Without the influence and control of insurance companies, you are able to receive more personalized care.

Bypassing insurance allows the for utmost flexibility and privacy for clients. Without having to provide a mental health diagnosis, all of your health records remain completely secure and confidential. There will be no diagnosis on your permanent health record, and no one will ever know you are in therapy unless you choose to tell them.

Additionally, many insurance companies will only cover face-to-face sessions. By not working with any insurance platforms clients have more accessibility to mental health services at a time and place that is most convenient for them and in a less formal setting.

Many clients prefer not to use their insurance, valuing the broader scope of personalized care and preservation of their privacy.  Instead, many choose to use pre-tax funds such as a Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flex Spending Account (FSA) if those funds are available. Others may consider consulting a financial advisor to check whether they are able to deduct therapy expenses from taxes as an out-of-pocket health expense.

“The willingness to show up changes us. It makes us a little braver each time.”

- Brené Brown
